Our client is a professional engineering & construction company with multi disciplined competence in piping, pumping, pipelines and bore fields, water supply and associated civil, mechanical, electrical and controls works.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed design drawings and minor calculations.
- Check all drawings prepared by others.
- Apply Australian and international drafting and engineering standards, and Client design standards as appropriate.
- Assist in office workflow activities as directed.
- Provide assistance and support as directed in the design and production of drawings for projects.
- Collect field data and take measurements of field installations and equipment as directed.
- Provide assistance to engineers and project managers.
DUTIES:
- Intermediate knowledge of statutory requirements, regulation and national standards associated with design to which this position is attached.
- Intermediate experience in engineering, design and drafting services.
- Intermediate experience and knowledge in the use of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CAD software.
- Intermediate experience and demonstrated capability in estimating, time/ costs associated with complex drafting/ design projects.
- Intermediate experience in the development of design verified switchboard.
- Demonstrates proven ability to undertake detail engineering design and drafting for complex projects.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze existing and / or proposed assets in order to evaluate engineering and economic effectiveness and to present viable recommendations.
- Demonstrates good computing skills, is able to use Microsoft suite of systems and can demonstrate the capability to learn and apply the technical computing applications.
- Demonstrates sound knowledge of engineering principles and practices and their application.
- Demonstrates well developed conceptual and analytical skills.
- Demonstrates well developed report writing skills.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Tertiary (post-secondary) level qualification in an engineering/drafting discipline and experience in design and drafting service.
- Minimum 5 - 10 years relevant electrical drafting experience including at least 2 years electrical design drafting experience
- C Class Drivers License
